The Industry Applications Society (IAS) promotes the advancement of the theory and practice of electrical and electronic engineering in the development, design, manufacture and application of electrical systems, apparatus, devices and controls to the processes and equipment of industry and commerce; the promotion of safe, reliable and economical installations; industry leadership in energy conservation and environmental health and safety issues; the creation of voluntary engineering standards and recommended practices; and the professional development of its membership.

The Advanced Process Control Applications for Industry (APC) conference is intended to promote the application of advanced control techniques in industry to improve the relevance of research in the field for the benefit of industry and society as a whole. The workshop is a meeting of those interested in applying Advanced Process Control technology and Advanced Data Analysis technology to improve performance of the process industries.
